Joy: Class of 2019!
Joy’s name suits her: she is definitely full of joy. We had the prettiest spring night for her senior photos—full of sunshine, flowers, and laughter. I’ve gotten to know Joy (and the rest of the awesome Proctor family) through Plainfield Christian Church. I work with her dad, did some family photos of them a few years back, took her sister’s senior photos in the fall. Getting to take Joy’s photos was truly lovely and so much fun!
Joy goes to Ben Davis Achieve Virtual Education Academy and her favorite subject is English. Three words that Joy would use to describe herself are kind, fun-loving, and cheerful. Her favorite food is pasta salad and if she could have any super power, it would be super sleeping powers. She wants to be able to “fall asleep easily, not wake up at every little noise, and feel like I got twelve hours of sleep when I maybe only really slept for 3.” (That sounds amazing…I want that.) Joy’s favorite TV shows are Andy Griffith and The Office. Something a lot of people don’t know about her is that she can quote lines from pretty much every movie she has seen. (I saw this playing out during not only Joy’s session, but also Hope’s senior session! So cool.) Her dream job would be a wife and a mom or maybe an editor of some sort. Joy is finishing high school a year early and is going to take a “gap year” to work before most likely heading to college in 2020. One of the biggest challenges Joy is going to face is being the youngest in her family and facing all of her siblings being gone form home this next year. Joy, I wish you the best of luck in what lies ahead—keep following Jesus and living fully for His Glory!
