When it looked like rain all day, the sunshine came out that night. What a blessing it was to photograph the Taylor family. Those kiddos had me smiling long after their session was over. I met this family through PCC and, also through Kristin’s brother, Erik. I’ve loved getting to know them and this session played a big role in that!
Meet Josh, Kristin, Titus, Asher, and Zane. Josh and Kristin are high school sweethearts. They met through high school youth group through their best friends who started dating. As a family, they love going on walks, watching baseball, playing games, eating at restaurants, and reading books together. Their favorite family memory is each year when they go on vacation together and play at the beach. Three things the Taylors value are integrity, perseverance, and kindness. One of the biggest challenges this family has faced was almost losing Kristin’s brother, Erik, a few summers ago as well as when Kristin has faced postpartum depression. A phrase that is said in their home is “Find a solution, instead of complaining.” Josh and Kristin pray for “our sons to grow into godly, Jesus-loving men who bring joy to others (Asher’s namesake), defend the weak and the Lord (Titus’ namesake), and graciously give (Zane’s namesake).” Kristin’s favorite verse is Micah 6:8, and they try to instill this in their own lives and in their sons.
